3. How Information Is Stored
Most email data and settings are stored locally on your device. Email account credentials are stored using encrypted Android storage where supported.
Mailix may also communicate with:
– Your selected email provider or mail server
– Mailix remote configuration/admin endpoints
– Google Play Billing
– Google AdMob, if ads are enabled
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information.
Information may be shared only in the following cases:

5. Email Credentials
Mailix requires email credentials to connect to your mail account. These credentials are used only for email functionality such as authentication, sending, receiving, and syncing mail. Credentials are stored locally on your device using encrypted storage where supported and are not sold or used for advertising.
6. Email Content and Attachments
Email content, attachments, and inline images are processed to display your mailbox and provide mail features. Remote images may be blocked or loaded depending on your settings. Inline images embedded in messages may be processed locally to display the email correctly.
7. Background Sync and Notifications
Mailix may run background sync to check for new emails and deliver notifications. If background delivery is disabled by the user, the operating system, battery restrictions, network restrictions, or device manufacturer settings, email delivery, scheduled mail actions, and notifications may be delayed or may not work until the app is opened.
8. Spam Reports and Blocking
When you report spam or block a sender/domain, Mailix may store the blocked email address or domain locally and may send a report to the Mailix remote admin service if you choose that option. Existing emails are only deleted when you explicitly select the option to delete existing messages from the sender/domain.
9. Data Retention and Deletion
Local data remains on your device until:
– You delete it inside the app
– You remove an email account from the app
– You clear app data
– You uninstall the app
When you delete an email:
– Moving to Trash moves the email to the trash folder where supported by your mail server.
– Permanent deletion removes the email locally and attempts to delete it from the remote mail server.
– Deleted message records may be kept locally as deletion markers to prevent permanently deleted messages from being restored during future sync.
Spam reports and remote configuration data may be retained by Mailix admin services as needed for abuse prevention, support, security, and service operation.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user data, including encrypted local credential storage where supported, secure transport where available, and limited use of remote data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
11. Third-Party Services
Mailix may use third-party services including:
– Google Play Billing for subscriptions
– Google AdMob for advertising
– Email providers and mail servers selected by the user
– Android system services such as notifications, background work, and secure storage
These services may process data according to their own privacy policies.
12. Children’s Privacy
Mailix is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law to use email services without parental consent. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
